Under the patronage of His Excellency the Rector, Prof. Adulaziz A. Al-Hamid, the Vice- Rectorate for Development and Quality, represented by the Deanship of Development and Quality, organized a "New Faculty Orientation Program" for the academic year 1440/1441 A.H. on Wednesday, 12 / 01 / 1440 A.H corresponding to 11 /09/2019 in Auditorium of College of Engineering for men and in Hedayia Building for female. The program's events were presented by Dr. Hassan Al-Thurwi, the Vice-Dean of Deanship of Development and Quality. The opening of the program was started by reciting some verses from the Holy Quran and then a brief video show was displayed about the KSA, Al-Kharj and PSAU. Then, a presentation regarding the objectives and importance of the orientation program was addressed by the Vice-Rector of Vice-Rectorate of Development and Quality, Dr. Nasser Bin Saad Al-Qahtani followed by the Rector's speech, Prof. Abdulaziz A. Al-Hamid welcoming the new faculty members and emphasizing on the importance of assisting the new faculty members in a manner that this assistance would develop the educational process at PSAU. Afterwards, a presentation regarding the quality of programs and academic accreditation was delivered by Dr. Fahad bin Saad Al-Sahli, the Dean of Deanship of Development and Quality followed by a presentation delivered by Dr. Majed Al-Shaibani, the Vice Dean of Deanship of Human Resources, regarding the faculty members' rights and responsibilities. Moreover, a presentation was addressed about the teaching and learning at PSAU by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Harthee, the Dean of College of Sciences and Humanities followed by a presentation concerning the E-Services provided to faculty members at PSAU by Dr. Khaled Al-Nuwaiser, the Dean of Deanship of Information Technology and Distance Learning. Finally, a jointly presentation was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Al-Shehri, the Vice Dean of Deanship of Scientific Research and Dr. Ashraf Tawfiq Abulhamd, the Secretary of Appointments and Promotions Committee, about PSAU's scientific research programs and promotions. The Deanship of Development and Quality is conducting the orientation program looking forward to achieving its objectives and contributing to the enhancement of faculty members' skills.
