A team of International experts in the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation has paid a visit to PSAU, which has been overseen by NCAAA. This visit represents a step forward toward the implementation of the Developmental Review Project with the purpose of preparing the University for the attainment of the actual institutional accreditation in terms of the requirements of NCAAA. The NCAAA reviewing team consists of six international experts, and two national experts holding a credit record in reviewing the institutions of higher education. The applicable measures in the process of the Developmental Review are of no less significance than their like in the actual review. On the contrary, such measures are more important as the University will make full use of the recommendations to attend to the requirements of the actual accreditation, which in turn contributes to achieving the mission and the vision of the University, reported by Dr. Saleh Ali Alghamdi. He added that the University has the essential elements such as diligent administration bolstering the academic accreditation and the infrastructure which qualifies it to submit for obtaining the academic accreditation in the near future. Prof. Saleh Al-Qahtani, the vice rector of Development and Quality extended his thanking and appreciation to the visiting team , stating that such a step paves the way for starting the real process of the academic accreditation. In addition, Dr. Saad Alzahrani, the Dean of DDQ stated that the University has initiated continuous plan in the process of development and quality covering all the units affiliated to the university due to the overwhelming support of the rector of the University. He added that the University has reaped the harvest of an ongoing effort done during the project period. In addition, the deanship has set a future plan for obtaining the academic accreditation including six academic programs.
