Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University pays a tremendous attention to measure both its academic and administrative performances as following:
Academic Performance Measurement
A "Guidebook of Key Performance Indictors" has been issued in a simplified style with a detailed explanation of each of the 53, it aims to achieve the following:
- Controlling and monitoring the level of progress towards achieving the University's strategic objectives
- Assisting those with authority to make decisions based on correct and accurate information
- Monitoring performance for benchmarking with other universities
- Ensuring transparency and good governance
- Facilitating the process of institution and program evaluations and achieve one of the most important requirements for academic accreditation.
In particular, these KPIs were established based on the following classification:
- NCAAA KPIs
- PSAU KPIs designed according to the objectives of the university's units.
The Deanship of Development and Quality also adopts 21 electronic surveys measuring students, academic and administrative staff, alumni and employers' satisfaction regarding a number of university issues.
Administrative Performance Measurement
Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University implements the Quality Management System based on the International Standard ISO 9001 and to a contemporary administrative philosophy aimed at achieving the quality of performance across all the academic and administrative units of the university with a cooperative responsibility of applying the quality and a continuous improvement is a centric role of this administrative philosophy. In this regard, the university has signed a contract with BSI Company to implement the ISO 9001 as one of the well-recognized companies providing this service to all types of organizations that look for developing and improving their institutional performance.
In a like manner, the university has implemented the Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard for Quality Management Systems ISO 9001: 2008 and based on the successful implementation the university has obtained the certificate in the academic year 2014-2015. Thereafter, the Quality Management System of the university has been updated in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard for Quality Management Systems ISO 9001: 2015 and this, in turn, has qualified the university to obtain the certificate for this upgrade in the academic year 2018-2019.
In this regard, the Deanship of Development and Quality has issued a "Guidebook of Administrative Work Procedures for the Quality Management System," which clarifies all administrative procedures for all academic and administrative units within the university.
As for the process of evaluating the administrative work procedures of all academic and administrative units of the university, the Deanship of Development and Quality develops an annual internal audit plan for all administrative and academic units to verify the extent to which these units comply with the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
